Editorial standards

IPOReady publishes reference guides about going public — a subject where wrong information costs real money. This page describes how that content is produced, what it is based on, and what it is not.

Sources

Guides are written from primary regulatory sources: the TSX Company Manual, TSX Venture Exchange corporate finance policies (including Policy 2.4 on capital pool companies and Policy 5.2 on reverse takeovers), CSE policies, Cboe Canada listing requirements, Canadian National Instruments (41-101, 51-102, 52-110, NP 46-201), SEC rules and forms (S-1, F-1, F-10/MJDS, Regulation A, the 2024 SPAC rules), and NASDAQ/NYSE listing standards. Where a guide states a threshold, timeline, or fee range, it reflects these sources and observed Canadian market practice.

The same data that runs the product

IPOReady is a software platform that generates task plans, mandatory-document checklists, and timelines for going-public transactions. The guides are written from that same regulatory dataset — when exchange requirements change, the platform and the guides are updated together.

Update cadence and corrections

Every guide carries a visible “Updated” date and is reviewed at least quarterly, and immediately when a major rule changes. If you find an error, email support@ipoready.ai — corrections are made promptly and material corrections are noted in the guide.
